Casa Verde @ Botanic Gardens [Pet Friendly]

After I started working again, I felt kinda guilty towards Pixie, for not spending as much time with her. Hence, I dragged the hubby out of bed on Sunday morning to get to the Botanic Gardens and let Pixie smell the fresh air... and for us to get some breakfast!

Casa Verde, which means "Green House" in Italian, is nestled amidst the greenery at the Botanic Gardens. It is nearer to the Nassim Gate and drivers can park at car park B.

It's our second time there, and it's as packed as ever with pooches and humans alike. Pixie even made a new friend!

While Casa Verde does not serve food to the four-legged, water bowls are available to be borrowed. Just remember to put it back for the next thirsty user!

There's a pretty good selection of food here, ranging from Western fares, to classic Italian dishes, and even local favorites. Menu and prices are available on Casa Verde's website

I went along with my usual Western Breakfast ($14.50) that comes with orange juice and a choice of coffee or tea. The creamy scrambled eggs here are simply to die for. Also, the bunny simply adores the hash brown that is fried till there's a golden crisp jacket and a fluffy centre.

The hubby wanted something lighter, so he went for the Chicken Congee ($9). I would say that the congee was smooth and the vermicelli crisps added texture. However, eat up fast as the congee turned watery really soon.
