Cove Stadium @ Sentosa Cove

The bunny was playing tour guide at Sentosa Cove when my visitor from the US decided that he wanted lunch. We headed to Cove Stadium, a bistro-bar, that is decidedly sports-themed.

Cove Stadium serves pub grub and beverages such as beers, liquors, wines and crafted cocktails. Sports fans will also get to catch the latest sports action screened here. You may want to note that the place is named in I-S Best Bars Guide 2014.

The scenery just outside Cove Stadium was picturesque. Imagine a view of the big blue sea with lazy rolling waves; the sight of numerous majestic yachts.. and some smaller ones parked at the marina. I apologize for the lack of pictures as it was a business lunch rather than a leisurely one, so the bunny didn't really have the opportunity to whip out the camera.

Our party of 3 ordered individual mains but we did get the Grilled Baby Octopus Salad ($22) to share. The Mesclun was served cool and crisp and the Roma tomato slices were plump, sweet and juicy. The highlight of the salad was still the baby octopus - it was pleasantly chewy, without being rubbery and had an incredible unami taste with just a hint of char-grill flavor.

The main I ordered is a traditional American food, the Pulled Pork Burger ($28). According to the menu, the pulled pork was made by grilling the pork shoulder for 6 hours with a special Chipotle BBQ sauce. I'm no expert in cooking, but eating I can do... The result was smoky, juicy, and tender pulled pork. It was slightly spicy and I could spot chili seeds embedded within. To complete the meal, the burger was dished up with sides of truffle fries and Mesclun greens.
