Unboxing my new toy - Clarisonic Mia 2

My Clarisonic Mia 2 has finally arrived in the mail today!

Unboxing the parcel containing my Mia 2
If you're not sure what Clarisonic is, it's some sort of an electric toothbrush for the face. Lots of beauty bloggers are swearing by it for clean and clear skin!

The bunny often wears make-up and even after thorough cleansing, I always felt that my skin isn't clean enough. Hence, after tons of reading and research on the Clarisonic skin care system and how it's supposed to cleanse 6x more effectively than manual cleansing, I decided to take the plunge and give up US$120 (S$155) for the Mia 2.

I was kinda torn between the Mia and Mia 2 initially but decided to go ahead with Mia 2 as the speed of the brush can be adjusted between low and normal. Mia only has the normal speed, which I was afraid might be too harsh since my skin is really sensitive.

Clarisonic Mia 2 in Frost Magenta
My Mia 2 is in the color Frost Magenta, supposedly a limited edition. The set includes:
- Mia 2
- Universal voltage pLink charger
- Sensitive brush head
- Travel size Clarisonic Refreshing Gel Cleanser (30ml)
- Protective travel case
- Additional sensitive brush head (Bonus)

Skin-etc also gave another brush head for free with US$119 worth of Clarisonic purchase and 5 samples.

In contrast, the Mia 2 costs S$215 in Sephora stores in Singapore. It comes only in Pink or White (boring!) and the kit includes only 1 brush head, trial size cleanser, universal voltage charger and protective travel case. For comparison sake, each brush head retails at S$35, so I'm actually getting another S$70 worth of savings by ordering online.

Shipping through Globaleshop (powered by Comgateway) was pretty quick. I ordered on 17 Dec and the package reached me in 10 days! My box survived with just a little dent at the back.

Dented corner at the back...
Shipping fees to Singapore were US$16.20 (S$21) with US$1.03 insurance included. The wait was well worth it as the savings are really substantial if you count in the freebies!

I can't wait to use the Mia 2 after it charges. By the way, the charger is quite unique as it's magnetic and just sticks on to the Mia 2. I'll review on it after using for a few weeks.. Yay or nay, we shall see!

  1. Hi,

May I know did you order from Skin-etc directly or use Comgateway's BuyForMe service to order the Clarisonic Mia 2? I'm thinking of ordering from Skin-etc too.

    Thank you.

  2. Hi,

How do you purchase through Skin-ETC? Do you select the shipping services via Fedex International priority? I emailed to the shipping department in Skin-ETC and they mentioned that they do not deliver to Singapore.

This is the 1st time that I want to purchase the products from US from an online store. Would you mind sharing the delivery procedures please?

    1. Hi Angie,

It's true that Skin etc does not deliver to Singapore. As I have mentioned in the post, I shipped through Comgateway. Comgateway is a shipping company that consolidates your items in US and then ships your items to you to Singapore. Alternatives to Comgateway include Borderlinx and Vpost. You may want to google on them.

The process is pretty simple. Create an account with the shipper of your choice and an US address will be provided to you. Ship your shopping to the US address provided and they will inform you to pay for the shipping to Singapore. Pay and the item(s) will be delivered to your Singapore address.

      Hope this helps!
