The Bunny's Hong Kong trip - Australia Dairy Co.

Day 2 of our trip in Hong Kong is filled with lots and lots of walking.

I'm serious. I've always wondered why most Hong Kongers are so slim despite all the yummy (and fattening) food such as roasted meats, dim sum, egg tarts, pineapple buns, well, you get my point...  They have to walk, A LOT. The distance from the Times Square entrance of the MTR at Causeway Bay stop to the actual train is about a 7 mins walk. *Huffs and puffs*

Anyway, we started the day by getting an Octopus card (their version of our EZ-Link card) at HK$150 (S$25) before hopping on to the MTR. The card comes with HK$50 refundable deposit and a value of HK$100 for travel. More details can be found on the Octopus website.

We alighted at Jordan station and walked to Australia Diary Co. where there was already a long queue.

The queue moved pretty quickly and we were seated in less than 15mins. The waiters here will fit you into any table that has space. The breakfast set (HK$28/ ~S$4.67) consists of ham macaroni, buttered toast, choice of scrambled or sunny-side eggs and tea or coffee.

Eggs and toast from Australia Dairy Co.
Our food was served in a matter of 20 seconds. The toast was thick and aromatic. The eggs were fried in such a way that the whites were cooked through yet the yolks were still runny, perfect for dipping the toast into.

We hurriedly ate our food and vacated our seats. There's just something in the atmosphere that seems to rush everybody out of the cafe asap and I can say that it's definitely not a great feeling. While the food is nice, I'm not really sure what the hype on Australia Dairy Co. is about and why is this place so highly recommended.
