The Hippopotamus @ Marina Square

The bunny’s bf has been eyeing The Hippopotamus at #01-204/205, Marina Square for some time now, but we have never stepped in due to the steep prices. Thanks to a Groupon deal, we finally decided to give the restaurant a shot (we got a $50 voucher at $32.50).

From the outside, the restaurant looks cosy with comfortable lighting but the interior was a tad weird with a mixture of contemporary and rustic vibes.

Hello Kitty nail stickers - black & rose design

The bunny wrote a post on Hello Kitty Nail Stickers earlier this year and here's another design!

Found at Sanrio Takashimaya, the black & rose Hello Kitty stickers are cute and classy at the same time.

Buffet dinner @ Carnivore Appetite, Marina Square

Marina Square has recently undergone a huge renovation to include a dedicated area for food named The Dining Edition. One of the new restaurants is Carnivore Appetite, located at #02-102.

The restaurant is pretty much spacious and has a rustic feel to it with its white-washed brick wall design and sturdy wooden furniture. It's easy to feel at home here with the easy atmosphere and friendly, smiling staff.

Lunch @ The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, JEM

The bunny was at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for lunch at JEM. Apparently, the coffee house serves proper meals now too. They're certified Halal too, so it's a new addition to the places that I can dine with my Muslim friends. Honestly, I didn't know that till a colleague brought me there, it's been years since I stepped into CBTL since the bf prefers Starbucks.

Dinner @ Covelli, Orchard Central

The bunny was given a treat when the bf brought me to Covelli recently. Located in a quiet corner at Orchard Central, B2-11/22, the bistro is touted by netizens as a hidden find for quality Italian food.

Covelli is the perfect location for a date - Soft flickering from the electronic tea light emitting from every table; pink and red balls of flowers and intricate birdcages hanging from the ceiling; soothing music playing in the background all add to the charm of this place.

Etude House I Need You Pomegranate! Mask Sheet Review

To be honest, I wasn't really looking forward to try another mask from Etude House's I Need You range since my previous experience with the mask was a lemon (pun fully intended). Nonetheless, since I have already bought a few pieces of the mask, there's no sense in letting them go to waste. So today's self-pampering session is with the Etude House I Need You, Pomegranate mask.

Dinner invite by Stew Kuche @ Bukit Merah

The bunny was invited for dinner at Stew Kuche on Wed, and the invite was extended to the bf and our friend Daph as well.

Stew Kuche literally translates to Stew Kitchen from German. This small enclave operates out of a coffee-shop at Blk 119 Bukit Merah Lane 1, #01-40.

Etude House I Need You, Lemon! Mask Sheet review

The bunny tried out her first mask from Etude House's I Need You range - the I Need You, Lemon! Mask Sheet and here's my experience with it.

As always, the products from Etude House have cutesy looking packaging and the mask is no exception. The vibrant yellow color was what attracted me to it in the first place.

Atas Hawker Fare @ Madam Kwan's

"Are you crazy or have you struck lottery?" was the first thought that popped into the bunny's head when the bf insisted that we go to Madam Kwan's at the ground level of Vivocity to try the Nasi Lemak for dinner . After all, Madam Kwan serves modest hawker food at atas restaurant prices. Turns out, it was neither. His rationale was a quest to find out what exactly was so special that made people willing to pay for prices such as $15 for a plate of humble Nasi Lemak and to queue for it.

Pocket-friendly French food @ Saveur

With all the gorging this bunny is doing this week, it's a miracle that I'm not yet the size of a whale... The bf and the bunny finally visited Saveur for lunch after talking about it for a longgg longgggg time.

We visited Saveur at Bugis, located at 5 Purvis Street,  Talib Court #01-04. The restaurant offers French food at pocket-friendly prices and is almost always spotting a long queue waiting to get in.

Dim Sum lunch @ Asia Grand Restaurant

A colleague of mine recommended Asia Grand Restaurant, located at #01-02 Odeon Towers when the bunny was asking around for suggestions on places to bring my mum to for her birthday. So here's where the family had lunch today.. If you're a directional klutz like me and is unfamiliar with the place, Odeon Towers is just right next to Carlton Hotel.

Asia Grand Restaurant has 2 types of menu - one for ala carte food items & set courses and another for dim sum. On this trip, our orders were mainly from the dim sum menu.

Tim Ho Wan @ Plaza Singapura

The bunny has finally gotten the chance to try the dim sum at Tim Ho Wan! The opening of the 1-star Michelin restaurant at the new extension of Plaza Sing has been much hyped about and you would have been living under a rock to have missed this piece of news. Since the restaurant's opening, the queues have been very much insane and this bunny isn't crazy enough to wait for 3 hrs (unless it's Hello Kitty of course!). It was a lucky break that I reached the restaurant slightly after 6pm today and there was only a short queue. In all, I think I waited for about 15 mins.
