Etude House Collagen Moistfull Peeling Wash

A sample of Etude House's Collagen Moistfull Peeling Wash made up part of the stash that was given to me with my recent Etude House purchase. After using for a week, this post is a review of the wash.

I can't read the Korean that was behind the sachet, so I googled for the product.

From what I gathered, the wash is supposed to remove old and dead skin cells and supply moisture to give smooth skin. It's main ingredients are: Konjac, Baobab tree extracts, Hydrolyzed collagen. It's 4 free - Paraben, mineral oil, Benzophenone, and talc free. This is good news for me since my skin reacts by giving me acne when products are laced with mineral oil and talc.

The sample sachets are rather generous with the product. Each sachet was enough for 4-5 washes for me. I alternated with Hada Labo's Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Face Wash as I was afraid that anything that is peeling would make my skin act up. Thankfully, this was gentle enough to avoid my skin from reacting adversely.

The product is a clear gel with really tiny bits of grains in it. The scent is clean (like duh, it's a wash, but that's the closest word I could come to), pleasant smell that is slightly on the strong side.

The Collagen Moistfull Peeling Wash is a clear gel

The tiny grains in the wash help to scrub off dead skin when it is massaged on the face for a minute or so. I think the word peeling is kind of misused here. There's definitely no flaking skin involved. I noticed that my pores are cleaner immediately after the wash and my skin feels softer too. Sadly, the skin softening effects seem to be only temporary as my skin reverted to it's original condition shortly after the wash.

I would have given Etude House's Collagen Moistfull Peeling Wash perfect marks if its skin softening effects lasted longer. However, the gentleness and cleansing effects of this product make it something that I will consider buying in the near future.
