Korean BBQ @ The Corner Place, Marina Square

Korean BBQ is gaining popularity in Singapore and Marina Square is catching this wave with 2 relatively new Korean BBQ joints. One of these restaurants is The Corner Place Korean BBQ, located at Level 4, right next to the food court.

Like most Korean BBQ places, effort was put in the decor for a Korean look & feel.

Food wise, there's a variety of meats, cooked food, veg and fruits.

For meats, I saw pork belly, pork collar, bacon, sausages, marinated chicken, beef slices and marinated short ribs. There were seafood such as marinated fish and squid rings too.

Most meats tasted pretty alright but the squid was so bland that the bf and I had to improvise by cooking with it with bean paste sauce, pepper and onions to make it more palatable.

A member of the staff was stationed at the cooking station in the restaurant to dish up piping hot cooked food such as pajeon (green onion pancake) and kimchi fried rice. Japchae is also available at the buffet table. On my visit, the staff actually served us the kimchi fried rice at our table for us to "try". Thumbs up for the service!

There's also steam rice available in the rice cooker for those who need more carbs. A pot of soup is just beside. On my visit, it was seaweed soup.

To end the meal, the restaurant provides a variety of freshly cut fruits such as watermelon and oranges.

Price wise, at $22+ per pax, it's indeed reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet.
