Anniversary Dinner @ Jerry's Barbeque & Grill, Club Street

The bf and me have been together for 3 years today!

Unlike the pish-posh dinner we had last year at Le Pont de Vie, we decided to settle on a casual eatery at Club Street.

On stepping into Jerry's Barbeque & Grill, it felt like we have been transported into an American mid-west diner. It wasn't crowded so we were seated almost immediately.

Jerry's is famous for their Buffalo Wings ($12.95) which comes in 5 levels of intensity. I picked a slightly lower intensity of Level 2 as I wasn't keen on giving myself heartburn.

The wings were sweet, spicy, and crunchy on the outside while soft and tender on the inside. I wasn't impressed with the dip the wings were served with though - it smelt like puke and was a direct clash with the wings.

Next up, the Deep Fried Mushrooms ($10.95).. The mushrooms are another must-try on Jerry's menu.

Fresh button mushrooms are lightly coated in a thin batter and fried to perfection. The moment you bite into one of these babies, you can feel the golden exterior crackling and give way to your teeth sinking into the meaty mushroomy interior with juices gushing out. Yums!

We had the BBQ Pork Ribs ($21.95) to share as well.

It lacked the wood smoked taste of great ribs, but still, the meat was so tender, it fell off the bones effortlessly when you try to separate them with your fork.

Overall, we had a enjoyable dinner and will definitely revisit for their specialities.
